We were looking for a quick meal last night that wasnt Arby's or some such thing, and found this. It's in an odd location, but is yummy. There is also seating outside, for those few days a year such a thing is possible!

Fun little place in a complex with a Cold Stone Creamery and a Papa Murphy's. It is what it says - Noodles! There are a ton of different choices of noodle dishes, all of which you can customize with whatever you like. There options for sides, like a yummy tomato & cucumber salad, bread, etc. You can get small portions or "regular" portions which are huge. I have had a spicy thai noodle dish in the past, and this time I got a Pesto dish with curly noodles that was very good! Kevin got the macaroni and cheese and it was delicious also. For vegetarians, this is an excellent stop as there are many dishes without meat and lots of other options for toppings.
If you're looking for a quick stop, but something a little different, this is definately a good choice.

Have I raved about Riverstone before? Too bad, here's another!
I know I've blogged about Riverstone before, but it is so good it deserves more!
Here is their website.

Summer Hours
Call for other season hours
Dinner Daily: 4:30-10pm
Sun. Brunch: 10:00am - 1:00pm
For vegetarians out there, there are PLENTY of choices here. Of course you have to spend a little more $$, but it is worth it! They have some amazing salads, and I am still dying to try the "Reserve" salad, and I will someday! They also have several vegetarian dinner entrees, one of which of course is my all time favorite squash ravioli! TO DIE FOR!
They also have outstanding desserts....we sampled Tiramisu, Creme brulee, and bread pudding. All fantastic.
A new thing here is they are open for LUNCH. I hope to give it a try this summer sometime - I suspect it is lighter fare, and a bit less $$.

Shady Sue's, Rhinelander
We've eaten at Shady Sue's several times in the past. People from out of town seem to enjoy it for some reason. It is very quaint...

Here's a map
It's kinda in the middle of nowhere, and only has about 10 tables, and a large bar. Our guests were most impressed by the assortment of wild birds eating outside of one of the windows, along with a variety of squirrels.
What I hear the most about Shady Sue's from other people is they LOVE the ribs. 3 out of 4 of us got the ribs, and everybody RAVED about them. They were nice & meaty, not fatty. Cooked perfectly. Sauce wonderful! I got the pecan walleye dish, which was quite good! My favorite part of Shady Sue's is the carrots. They are ROUND and very sweet - I think they are doused in honey or something. We also got salad, which was good, and bread, which was HOT and tasty. Somebody got a Prime Rib soup which they said was fantastic.
Prices are a little high, as it is a "supper club" that is normal around here.
All in all, its a cute little place to take folks now & then. And if you are a rib fan, this is the place to go!
